CORAL GABLES, Fla., Jan. 30, 2024 — Acorn Health, a national provider of applied behavior analysis for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, relocated its center in Severna Park, Maryland. Now located at 877 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., suite 100, the center features a floorplan that is better suited for ABA therapy.
“The new location provides a more functional use of space,” said Cathy Judkins, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, clinical director for Acorn Health at Severna Park. “We were able to add dedicated spaces for certain skills including a group room and a pretend play/social play room. We have a gross motor room here that features a fun slide and a climbing structure. This allows the children to play while also practicing skills related to taking turns and interacting with their peers.”
The relocation in Severna Park also presented opportunities to expand services by taking on additional clients and hiring more staff. The center opened in the new space on Jan. 2 with no disruptions to current clients.
