Who We Are

An accredited national provider of industry-leading
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with
an autism diagnosis.

At Acorn Health, we help children who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) gain the tools they need to live meaningful and independent lives. As a member of The Council of Autism Service Providers (CASP) and an accredited Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE), Acorn Health is committed to providing industry-leading autism therapy. Acorn Health was women-founded in 2018 with just a few locations. Today the primarily women-led organization is a national provider of center-based and in-home applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. We provide services in more than 75 centers and communities located in Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Our team is highly experienced in collaborating with cross-disciplinary partners, and our clinicians excel at working with siblings, parents, schools, and the community to create impact far beyond one individual diagnosed with ASD.

What We Do

Our clinicians partner with caregivers to create individualized treatment plans that create measurable and meaningful progress in the lives of our clients.

Acorn Health is a leading national provider of ABA therapy for children ages 18 months to 21 years who have an ASD diagnosis. By combining accepted best practices with leading-edge therapy approaches, Acorn Health’s ABA therapists are advancing the profession and defining industry standards for autism therapy.

At Acorn Health, we focus on data and outcomes—always. Our behavior analytic professionals follow the science of ABA therapy while developing and applying the latest advances in the field.

  • We invest in training and employee development to ensure our therapy services are rooted in quality and outcomes.
  • Our skilled clinicians partner with parents on clinically appropriate therapy plans unique to each child's needs and goals.
  • We communicate and measure progress using the proprietary Behavioral Health Index that utilizes real life examples to make progress easier to understand.
  • We are an ethical and quality provider with both in-home and center-based therapy options committed to expanding access to care.

Our Clinical Approach

The Acorn Approach is a set of best-in-class standards set for ourselves and anyone who practices quality ABA therapy.

When Acorn Health first formed, we did our homework. We talked with behavior therapy experts and respected researchers in the autism therapy field to learn what true quality care entails. We looked at all the evidence-based, peer-reviewed research and we formed a Clinical Advisory Board comprised of ABA experts. This all led to creating industry-leading standards of care known as the Acorn Approach.

The Acorn Approach has five pillars rooted around
accountability.

Collaboration
Individuality
Oversight
Outcomes
Permanence

I value the culture at Acorn Health greatly because of the teamwork that it takes each day to make a positive impact on our client’s lives. I would not be able to do my job to the best of my ability if it weren’t for my dedicated team of behavior technicians and registered behavior technicians. It truly takes a village to be able to make a positive impact on these children’s lives, and I get to witness that each day at work.

I enjoy working for a primarily women-led company. It’s refreshing that in a field where there are so many women in clinical roles, we also see women in key leadership roles at Acorn Health. It’s valuable and inspiring to see our female leaders taking maternity leave and encouraging work/life balance, while successfully driving Acorn Health forward in its mission to serve as many children as possible with industry-leading ABA therapy.

Working in ABA, no two days are the same and that is the most exciting thing. I’m motivated to connect and learn about each of my clients and support them on their journey to learning new skills. I partner with parents by focusing on their values and building relationships that let them feel heard. Every family wants to see their child blossom, so I take great pride in helping families reach their goals. I’m proud when families can see the value of ABA themselves.

I recommend new hires ask a million questions. We work in a field that grows by those willing to learn, and we frequently hire people that are relatively new to this field. Acorn Health will provide the training you need to effectively provide the best therapy services to our clients.

Even when it’s on a small scale, at Acorn Health we are always changing lives and positively impacting families. Sometimes those things we see as the smallest gains for a child are the ones that have the most meaning for the family. Through our work with children, we are supporting families — telling them they’re no longer alone on this journey, we will walk alongside you and do this together.

I have had some amazing mentors and leaders who have inspired me to lean into opportunities and move outside of my comfort zone. The teams I have worked with have also greatly impacted me and taught me the true meaning of teamwork and leadership. I wouldn't be the clinician I am today without the amazing BCBAs and RBTs I have worked with at Acorn Health.

In my day-to-day, I have an opportunity to assist families in blending their dreams and their realities into new dreams and successes for their children. I enjoy the connections and encouragement I can give families by sharing success stories and telling them about various tools we use to assist in the progress their children make.

At Acorn Health, I am positively impacting children’s lives through the daily work I do. Nothing brings me more joy than making those phone calls to inform parents we are ready to assess their child and begin services. The progress we make in therapy is astronomical! I’m fortunate to have my own caseload that allows me to monitor clients’ growth directly.
