The prevalence of autism continues to go up — in fact, since 2000, it’s increased more than 178%. That’s more families than ever before who need quality, effective ABA therapy to help their children reach their fullest potential in life. Acorn Health is proud to be able to continue to expand our network because access to services is very important for busy families, and is critical for kids with ASD.
Today we are thrilled to announce our plans for five additional new locations in 2021 — Grandville, MI, Silver Spring, MD, Germantown, MD, Lorton, VA, and the Landmark area of Alexandria, VA. These centers will open in the fourth quarter of 2021. In May we announced six additional new locations in the US and those are now opened and operating, actively serving families. It has been an exciting year at Acorn Health!
For our newly announced centers, families can begin the admissions process to start the ABA assessment. Our team can arrange therapy services to begin in your home before the centers are officially completed. Each location has the capacity to welcome 25 to 35 children who need ABA therapy and will offer home-based and center-based services once they are fully opened.
We are proud of the experienced team members who serve families at Acorn Health. At each new location, we will hire 3 to 4 new BCBAs, multiple Behavioral Technicians, and a Center Director to support our families’ needs.
Our team is working hard to find the right places for our newest locations to support children and families with Autism. Acorn Health continues to grow in and around markets where we already serve families because we recognize an increasing need for our services.
