Krista Boe, Acorn Health Chief Clinical Officer And Chief Operating Officer, Reappointed To Michigan Autism Council


Krista M. Boe, Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Acorn Health, has been re-appointed to the Michigan Autism Council. This is the second term she will serve in the governor-appointed role, which commenced in October 2021 and will expire in September 2025.  

The Autism Council is charged with overseeing Michigan’s Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) State Plan. The Council will implement, monitor, and update the Michigan ASD State Plan which will provide for comprehensive, lifespan supports to individuals with ASD and their families through access to information and resources, coordination of services, and implementation of evidence-based practices.

“I am thrilled to continue representing certified behavior analysts on the Michigan Autism Council,” Boe said of her reappointment. “I look forward to working alongside the other talented individuals on the Council to ensure individuals living with autism spectrum disorder have every opportunity to access the resources they need to live independent, meaningful and happy lives.” 

Boe, of Grand Rapids, MI., is a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology from Central Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan University. She has been practicing as a BCBA since 2008, with a focus on autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and organizational behavior management.

Before joining Acorn Health, Boe served dually diagnosed individuals at an intermediate care facility, and as an independent consultant in a community waiver-based setting. She was a board member for the Heartland Association for Behavior Analysis and the Nebraska Association for Behavior Analysis. 

Boe began her work with Autism Centers of Michigan (ACM), a previously acquired Acorn Health company, in 2015, as clinical director of northern Michigan operations, and later served as chief clinical officer. In 2018, she was initially appointed to the Michigan Autism Council, representing certified behavior analysts throughout the state.
