CORAL GABLES, Fla., Nov. 19, 2024 — Acorn Health opened a new location in St. Clair Shores for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) on Monday, Nov. 18. The addition of this new center brings applied behavioral analysis therapy services delivered by credentialed clinical professionals to the area, making it possible for more children to receive industry-leading autism therapy services.
“I’m so glad we’re able to expand access to ABA services in Macomb County,” said Becky Apfel, M.A., BCBA, LBA, Acorn Health’s clinical director of operations in St. Clair Shores. “ABA services can make such a positive impact for children with ASD in terms of keeping them safe and helping them gain independence and confidence.”
The St. Clair Shores center, like all Acorn Health locations, is designed to help children meet their individual goals, and features a variety of treatment rooms, including spaces for group activities, spaces for individual activities, and a sensory gym.
