Paul Doher Elected to Michigan Behavior Analysis Providers Association Board of Directors

CORAL GABLES, Fla., Jan. 28, 2025 — Paul Doher, M.A., BCBA, LBA, national director of clinical quality for Acorn Health, has been elected to a two-year term on the board of directors of the Michigan Behavior Analysis Providers Association (MiBAP), effective Jan. 1, 2025.

Founded in 2019, MiBAP represents more than a dozen active member applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy organizations throughout Michigan striving to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Doher previously served on MiBAP’s quality subcommittee for two years.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with many talented clinicians and business owners in Michigan who share similar values and want what’s best for the individuals we serve and for the field of ABA,” said Doher. “I’m looking forward to helping better identify issues our clients face in accessing care and alleviating barriers. I’m also excited to continue being part of our annual advocacy day and meeting with state representatives and senators to advocate for bills that impact our field.”

As national director for clinical quality, Doher helps Acorn Health deliver on its promise to provide children with autism and their families the highest-quality ABA services, as well as advancing the profession and redefining industry standards. A compassionate and dedicated clinician with a passion for teaching, he holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in special education and teaching from Michigan State University. In addition to MiBAP, he is a member of the National ABA Service Quality Network (NASQN) and served on the board of directors for the Mid-Michigan Autism Association.

“I’m thrilled to see Paul receive this well-deserved recognition from his peers,” said Krista Boe, M.A., BCBA, LBA, chief clinical officer of Acorn Health. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new board leadership role, and I know he’ll make significant contributions to MiBAP, our field, and most importantly the children we serve.”
