CORAL GABLES, Fla., July 24, 2024 — Claire Ellis, Acorn Health’s national director of clinical training and development, is recognized as a Future Leader 2024 in behavioral health by Aging Media. Ellis was selected because of her passion for ABA therapy and her commitment to continually improving clinical training standards at Acorn Health.
“I’m honored to have been nominated and selected as one of this year’s behavioral health future leaders,” said Ellis. “I’m incredibly proud of both the Apprentice Program and the Clinical Readiness Program at Acorn Health. We created these programs with a goal of improved clinical acumen to ensure our clients seeking ABA therapy receive the highest quality care in the industry.”
In her role as national director of clinical training and development, Ellis led the creation and implementation of two training programs for Acorn Health clinical team members. The clinical readiness program provides industry-leading training to Acorn Health’s behavior technicians and supplements industry-required training them the knowledge, tools and confidence to treat clients in our care. This standardized program is creating and shaping the skills of our team leading to improved outcomes and experiences for our clients. The apprenticeship program supports the professional and clinical development of our behavior technicians who are seeking long-term careers in applied behavior analysis as they prepare to become behavior analysts. Both programs are shaping the clinical quality and delivery of care across our centers and in the communities we serve.
“Claire has been an instrumental part of our overall clinical success at Acorn Health from the beginning,” said Krista Boe, Acorn Health’s chief clinical officer. “One of her numerous contributions, our Clinical Readiness Program, is unlike anything that exists when it comes to preparing new staff to successfully work directly with learners. This recently implemented program is already providing measurable benefits to our learners and their families. Congratulations, Claire! So deserved!”
