Access to ABA therapy expands with new Acorn Health Center in St. Clair Shores

CORAL GABLES, Fla., Aug. 29, 2024 — The St. Clair Shores community will be home to a new Acorn Health location opening later this fall. Acorn Health is a national and accredited provider of applied behavior analysis therapy serving children who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

“At Acorn Health we are committed to helping children with autism live meaningful independent lives through ABA,” said Emily Besecker, M.S., BCBA, MI-LBA, Acorn Health’s regional director of operations in Michigan. “I’m excited Acorn Health is expanding access to services in the St. Clair Shores community and Macomb County, so more children with ASD diagnoses can learn critical life skills and reach their full potential.”

In order to start services when the center opens, parents/caregivers are advised to enroll now.

“There is high demand for services in our area,” said Besecker. “Enrolling is an easy, straightforward process, with individual assessments happening quickly.”
